At Wendover Day Nursery, we're looking for a passionate and ambitious Deputy Head of Preschool who is ready to begin their leadership journey with the support of an experienced Room Leader and senior management team behind them.
This isn't a role where you'll be expected to know everything from day one.
Instead, we'll invest in you, coach you and help you develop into an exceptional Room Leader who leads with confidence, knowledge and kindness.

Has a genuine passion for preschool-aged children and preparing them for their transition into Reception.

What You'll Be Doing (AKA: The Really Special Stuff)
Supporting the Room Leader in creating a vibrant Preschool Room where children feel confident, curious and excited to learn.
Helping to deliver engaging learning experiences that encourage independence, creativity, communication and school readiness.
Building meaningful relationships with children and families, making every child feel safe, valued and celebrated.
Supporting the day-to-day organisation of the room and helping maintain consistently high standards of care and education.
Leading the room with confidence whenever the Room Leader is away, knowing you'll always have support from the wider leadership team.
Coaching apprentices and newer team members as your own confidence grows, becoming a positive role model for those around you.
Learning from experienced leaders through mentoring, regular feedback and ongoing professional development designed to help you become a future Room Leader.
