We're supporting hospitals nationwide, ensuring clean, well-ventilated, and heated spaces that aid patient recovery. We help cut energy use, carbon emissions, and waste costs, drawing on global best practice from over 400 healthcare projects, including the (Royal London, St Bartholomew’s, Mansfield, Papworth, Derby).
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager - Capital Works who will be required to deliver projects for Royal Derby Hospital.
As the Senior Project Manager - Capital Works, you will:
- Develop excellent working relations with the diverse client, end user base and site operations team, providing confidence and assurance of Skanska Building Services ability and capability to successfully deliver projects.
- Provide leadership, development and guidance to the PM and associated Capital Team resource when required and ensure best practice and conformance with legislation is achieved.
- Supporting the various stakeholders including but not limited to General Managers, Technical team members, Capital Team, AP and H&S representatives, the Senior Project Manager will achieve the successful delivery of projects on time, on budget with zero defects and no lost time injuries.
- Monthly provision of project reporting data to the commercial leads and the capital and lifecycle project director in preparation for Project (Contract) reviews.
- Undertake and manage a proportion of the annual capital plan, taking responsibility for forecasting, performance monitoring, and achieving financial targets through quarterly review cycles.
- Ensure effective handover for capital works back into the PFI including all relevant contract documentation and accurate asset information is captured.
- Normal working hours are expected, travel is expected, and flexibility will be required, the role will require regular interaction with the contract-based team and Senior Leadership team members. The role is based at Royal Derby Hospital and will be line manager. Travel to other sites / contracts or parts of the business including occasional nights away from home may be required.
We are looking for:
- Professionally Qualified to Chartered or Incorporated status with a Building Services or Construction related body or working towards and achieving within 2 years.
- Qualified to HNC/NVQ 6 level as a minimum in an appropriate discipline.
- Experience in managing the delivery of multiple projects and teams in a FM environment and execution of various forms of contract.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering programs of work in line with the requirements of CDM 2015 and experience in fulfilling the duties of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on single and multi-discipline projects
