We are Dundee Pride and our mission is to take a positive stance against discrimination and violence toward the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, plus (LGBTQ+) community and to progress LGBTQ+ equality, awareness and inclusion within Dundee and the region. Our vision is to create a city and region where LGBTQ+ people have a strong sense of community, are a visible social group and can celebrate their history, activism and sexual and gender diversity.
We are a small independent charity, currently with 3 board members and one part-time staff member. Every year we organise the Pride Festival at Slessor Gardens and support many other LGBTQ+ groups, including a book club, quiz night, poetry night and more!
Now we’re looking for new Board Members! Want to help shape a brighter, bolder, more fabulous Pride in 2027 and beyond.

If you’re passionate about inclusion, full of ideas, or just really good at organising chaos, get in touch. Pride doesn’t happen by magic — it happens because of people like you!
We need you to commit to:
- A monthly 2 hour meeting
- Occasional help dealing with funders, suppliers, sponsors, and all the bits that go into organising an amazing festival
- Help looking after the festival on the day
We’re looking especially for people with experience in:
- Fundraising
- Hospitality
- Bookkeeping
- Activism
- Leading volunteers
- Content creation
This a volunteer position, but training may be provided.
Experience of the LGBTQ+ community is encouraged but by no means required! More importantly, you need to live out our values of kindness and inclusion. A free PVG check and interview will be required.
