At Gemini Bespoke Joinery you'll manufacture high-end bespoke joinery in our Trafford Park workshop — then take it to site and install it yourself. You build it, you fit it, you see the finished job. Few roles in the North West offer that end-to-end ownership.
About Gemini
Gemini Bespoke Joinery is a growing bespoke joinery manufacturer producing high-specification commercial joinery for some of the UK's best-known hospitality, office, retail, and education clients. We work as part of a wider fit-out group, so our order book is strong, our projects are varied, and our joinery ends up in places you'll recognise — restaurants, workplaces, and retail spaces across the country.
The business has gone from strength to strength, and we've recently moved into larger premises in Trafford Park, Manchester to keep up with demand. Now we're growing the team to match — which is where you come in.
The Role
You'll split your time between the bench and the site — typically manufacturing in the workshop, then travelling out to install what you've made.
In the workshop, you will:
- Manufacture bespoke commercial joinery to a high standard — counters, reception desks, banquette and booth seating, wall panelling, servery units, and specialist one-off pieces
- Work from technical drawings and cutting lists with accuracy
- Work with a full range of materials and finishes: laminates, veneers, solid timber, spray finishes, and solid surface
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and competently
- Take pride in accuracy, finish quality, and attention to detail
On site, you will:
- Install the joinery you've manufactured, on live commercial sites across the North West and further afield
- Carry out site surveys and templating ahead of manufacture
- Scribe, fit, and finish to the standard our clients expect — first time
- Represent Gemini professionally in front of clients and main contractors
- Work safely and tidily on site, following RAMS and site rules
What We're Looking For
- Time-served joiner with a minimum of 3 years' experience (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Genuine experience of both workshop manufacture and site installation
- Confident reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Full UK driving licence (essential — site work is a core part of the role)
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one — we'll support you)
- Own hand tools
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude — the kind of joiner who spots the issue on the drawing before it becomes an issue on site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00–£20.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime
