Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Playground Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining playground equipment and structures at various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications for playground installations.
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting foundations as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, and secure playground components according to safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of installed equipment to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairs or modifications on existing playground structures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines throughout all stages of installation and maintenance work.
- Maintain organised work areas and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, etc., as well as power tools including drills, saws, and grinders.
- Ability to fabricate components or structures as needed using appropriate techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and playground installations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed plans accurately.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights when required.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about creating safe play environments who possess practical construction skills across various trades. All positions are paid in accordance with employment regulations.
Pay: £100.00-£120.00 per day
