Headlands CE J I & N School
Interview date: Wednesday 15 July 2026
Headlands CE (C) JIN School is a successful primary school with high expectations of attainment and achievement for all pupils, judged by Ofsted as ‘good’ in all areas in November 2024. As an attachment and trauma informed school, we recognise that a pupil's happiness and well-being are the foundation for their success and is essential to nurture, educate and care for the 'whole person'.
The staff at Headlands School are committed to ensuring that all of our pupils acquire and develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that will allow them to thrive in a loving, happy and flourishing community. We know that we have a duty to equip our children with the communication and social skills that will support them to build positive relationships and flourish within our local and global community. It is also fundamental that everyone has a right to be safe, healthy and feel a sense of positive wellbeing.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual with the skills and knowledge necessary to fulfil the role of a Senior Lunchtime Supervisor to start on 1 September 2026.
The successful candidate will:
Be able to establish and maintain a friendly and professional relationship with our children
Provide practical support for pupils in the dining hall and in the playground
Help to develop social skills through play and promoting children’s physical and emotional wellbeing
Be dedicated and patient, and willing to support pupils with a wide range of needs including medical and physical needs
Be able to lead and support a team of other lunchtime supervisors, directing them and providing guidance as needed
Have a flexible manner which is honest and friendly and the ability to communicate with staff, pupils and parents
We can offer you:
A warm, welcoming, inclusive school with a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated team of teachers and support staff
The opportunity to work in a supportive Christian community
Opportunities to develop professionally and grow in your role
A genuine opportunity to make a difference
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
All candidates are warmly welcomed and encouraged to visit the school. Please ring the school office on 01924 767066 to arrange an appointment or if you require further information about the role. You can also visit the school website at
