We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Coordinator to join our Transport Planning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong planning , communication, and organisational skills to contribute to our efficient logistics processes. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience in transport planning , along with excellent IT literacy.
Responsibilities
- Learn all aspects of the TREASURE Transport Operation, including:
- Manage the planning of resources for the network fleet in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Assist with the planning of General Haulage fleet, including sourcing backloads from various collection points UK wide.
- Learn to support the planning of the Tanking Fleet as required.
- Provide planning support and holiday cover as and when required.
- Be a member of a small team, using excellent communication skills, both at verbal and written levels.
- Liaise between our drivers and the customers in a proactive, clear and professional manner.
- Receive and process orders from customers including entering of these on the company traffic management system in an accurate manner, in accordance with company format.
- Processing, scanning and uploading of PODs and all other relevant documents as required.
- Checking purchase invoices as required.
- Being vigilant with Health and Safety, environmental issues, and legal compliance for the department, escalating non compliance or concerns to the company's Compliance Manager / Directors.
- Liaise with drivers and other operatives within the various divisions, coordinate their requirements and deal with any queries.
- Support office colleagues with delivery / collection schedules and resolve / escalate any issues that affect the efficient running of the operation.
- Carry out any other duties that may arise from operational requirements.
Knowledge and Role Relevant Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and general computer literacy.
- Knowledge of IT systems related to logistics planning and management is desirable.
- Good understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices within the logistics sector.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
