About the Role
We are currently recruiting self-employed Delivery Drivers to join our team for immediate start. This role involves delivering parcels within a fixed local area. It is a physically active and fast-paced role, but becomes straightforward once you are familiar with your route.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Arrive at the depot between 06:30 and 07:30am
- Locate your assigned route and load your parcels into the van
- Loading typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on volume
- Begin your route using a provided delivery device
- Complete approximately 90–140 stops per day
- Deliver primarily to residential addresses, with some flats and businesses
- Be in and out of the vehicle throughout the day
- Handle mainly small to medium parcels (some heavier items included)
- Return to the depot after completing your route for debrief and end-of-day procedures
Training Provided (Paid)
Full training is provided to ensure you are confident before operating independently:
- 2 days of classroom training (systems, delivery device, procedures)
- 2–3 days ride-along with an experienced Lead Driver or Manager
- Learn loading, route planning, and delivery best practices
- Training paid at £100 per day
- Ongoing support available after training
We will only consider experienced multi-drop drivers.
Working Pattern
- Routes available 6–7 days per week
- Typical delivery time: 6–9 hours per day
- Efficient and organised drivers may finish earlier
- Consistent work available year-round
What to Expect
- This is a physically active role involving regular walking and driving
- Some days may be more demanding, especially during the learning phase
- Strong organisation skills will make the role significantly easier
Requirements
- Full UK or EU driving licence
- Maximum of 6 penalty points
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable using navigation systems and handheld delivery devices
Pay & Benefits
- £140 – £180 per day (based on parcel rate)
- £100 per day during training
