Job Purpose
The Business Support Officer will provide comprehensive administrative, operational and business support to the management team and assist with the efficient day-to-day operation of the company’s courier and logistics services. The role involves coordinating business activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting customer and supplier communications, preparing reports and ensuring that administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to management.
- Maintain accurate customer, supplier, driver and business records.
- Coordinate with drivers and operational staff regarding delivery schedules, collections and customer requirements.
- Monitor delivery information and assist in resolving delays, failed deliveries and other operational issues.
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries by telephone and email and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Prepare business correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other management documentation.
- Process and maintain records of invoices, purchase orders, expenses and other business transactions.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and other external organisations when required.
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems and ensure business documentation is properly organised.
- Assist management with monitoring business performance and preparing regular operational reports.
- Support staff administration, including maintaining attendance, holiday and personnel records where required.
- Assist with maintaining internal company policies, procedures and compliance records.
- Monitor outstanding administrative tasks and ensure important deadlines are brought to management’s attention.
- Support the implementation and improvement of administrative and operational procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, customer, financial and commercially sensitive information.
- Undertake other reasonable business support and administrative duties as required by management.
Pay: £32,500.00-£33,500.00 per year
