We’re looking for a driven, razor‑sharp Operations & Installation Manager who knows the office‑furniture game inside out and can run a delivery & installation operation with absolute confidence.
This isn’t a reactive role. This is owning the rhythm of the entire operation — planning ahead, keeping the diary full, making smart decisions early, and ensuring every job is resourced, loaded, and ready long before wheels hit the road.
If you understand the realities of furniture installs — lead times, site access, snagging, returns, load planning, and the constant dance between office, warehouse, and teams on the road — you’ll thrive here.
You’ll be the operational anchor that keeps everything moving smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running the day‑to‑day delivery & installation operation with confidence and clarity.
- Planning the diary weeks ahead, not days — keeping capacity full and teams productive.
- Ensuring every job is prepped: paperwork, load lists, route plans, site details, and client comms.
- Leading installation teams, setting standards, and making sure work is done right the first time.
- Managing snagging, returns, and on‑site issues with calm, fast decision‑making.
- Keeping clients informed and the office aligned — no surprises, no last‑minute scrambles.
- Controlling costs through smart planning, efficient routing, and tight operational discipline.
What You Bring
- Office furniture sector experience — you know the workflow, the pressures, and the pace.
- A proactive mindset — you anticipate problems before they exist.
- Serious organisational ability — multiple live jobs, zero dropped balls.
- Strong communication — with clients, the office, and teams on the road.
- Confidence in route & load planning to maximise efficiency and avoid unnecessary costs.
- A cool head under pressure — when something goes sideways on site, you fix it fast.
Why This Role Matters
You’re the person who keeps the whole operation tight, efficient, and profitable.
When you do your job well, clients rave, teams run smoothly, and the business grows.
