GlasGrow Tree Surgeons Ltd is looking for an experienced Groundsperson to join our growing team.
We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience in tree surgery, forestry, landscaping or a similar outdoor role. However, if you have a great work ethic, are reliable and genuinely want to build a career in arboriculture, we would also consider applicants with no experience and provide full training.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Aged 25 or over (for vehicle insurance purposes)
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a groundsperson or in tree surgery
- Chainsaw qualifications (NPTC/Lantra)
- First Aid qualification
- Towing licence
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting our climbers on a variety of tree surgery jobs
- Operating chippers and other ground-based equipment
- Handling ropes, timber and brash safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and safe work site
- Looking after tools, vehicles and equipment
