About the Role
House of Linen is looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry Machine Operative to join our team on a part-time seasonal basis until September. This role would be ideal for a student aged 18 or over seeking temporary employment during the summer period.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of our commercial laundry processes, ensuring linens and textiles are cleaned, finished, and prepared to the highest standards for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating commercial washing, drying, and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading laundry machines.
- Sorting, inspecting, and preparing linen items for processing.
- Folding, packing, and preparing finished laundry for dispatch.
- Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults or maintenance issues.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area.
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Assisting colleagues as required to ensure daily production targets are met.
Skills and Experience
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving laundry items.
- Must be aged 18 years or over.
