Experienced Housing Officer
Salary: £25,420 – £42,250 per year, dependent on experience

Job Summary
We are an established property business looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer to join our team.
This is a hands-on role involving the day-to-day management of residential properties and tenancies, dealing directly with tenants and ensuring tenancy, property and maintenance matters are handled professionally and efficiently.
This is not a trainee or entry-level position.
Applicants must have previous professional experience working as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, Housing Management Officer or in a closely related housing management role.
We are looking for someone who already understands housing management, is confident dealing with tenants and can manage their workload with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of residential properties and tenancies
- Acting as a key point of contact for tenants
- Conducting regular property and tenancy inspections
- Managing tenancy-related matters from commencement through to termination
- Dealing with rent arrears and following appropriate procedures
- Investigating and managing tenancy breaches
- Handling anti-social behaviour issues where required
- Responding to tenant enquiries, complaints and disputes
- Identifying repairs and maintenance requirements
- Liaising with contractors and following up outstanding works
- Maintaining accurate property, tenant and tenancy records
- Preparing reports and providing updates to management
- Liaising with landlords, local authorities, contractors and other relevant organisations where necessary
- Ensuring properties and tenancies are managed in accordance with relevant housing legislation, company procedures and regulatory requirements
Essential Experience
A minimum of 2 years' relevant housing management experience is required.

- Housing/property compliance
- Managing an individual property portfolio or caseload

Salary
£25,420 – £42,250 per annum, dependent upon experience.
The exact salary offered will reflect the successful candidate's previous Housing Officer experience, knowledge and suitability for the role and will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.
