Milton Lodge Rest Home is a small residential care home in Fleetwood in Lancashire. We provide accommodation and care for 21 elderly residents. We are recruiting for a Cook to join our team.
About the Role
We are looking for a cook to work part time hours. The hours of work are 8 am to 2 pm. The shift pattern is 4 days on and 2 days off. .
Your duties will include preparing quality home cooked food according to a weekly menu, catering for any special diets such as diabetes, food allergies and modified/ textured diets, ordering food, completing kitchen paperwork, complying with statutory legal requirements and regulations i.e. HACCP, health and safety, COSHH and cleaning the kitchen to the required standards.
Candidates will be required to complete an induction and various training courses at the care home.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
· Has previous catering experience.
· Is a hard-working individual who takes pride in their work.
· Has a kind and caring nature.
· Is friendly and approachable.
· Has a "can do" attitude.
· Has a level 2 Food Safety certificate, this can be completed at the care home.
