Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. Duties
- Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift.
- Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment.
- Assisting with waste disposal and ensuring recycling procedures are followed.
- Maintaining health and safety standards within the kitchen environment at all times.
- Supporting the overall cleanliness of the kitchen including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary and hospitality services.
