Little Miracles is a charity based in Ravensthorpe in Peterborough, PE3 7LE. We support families with disabled children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions so they have the support that they need, at a time that they need it.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team and provide exceptional care for disabled children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs and possess strong communication and leadership skills. The role will be working on a one to one basis with the young people and supporting their needs.
Whilst this role is a Saturday role (10am-2pm) we do have other times available so please do still apply and we would especially love to hear from you if you are available either after school or during school holidays but we need to appoint the Saturday role urgently due to a member of the team going to University in September.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in various activities both in groups and on a one to one basis
- Work on a one to one basis with the children
- Support any additional needs (potentially including behaviour needs)
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a clean and organised childcare environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
- Manage daily routines and schedules for children
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is essential
- A level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education is essential (we can also accept Youth Work or Health and Social Care)
