Join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, patient‑focused administrative service across the Basildon, Broomfield and Southend Hospital sites, as well as the TACC and Surgical Divisions.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support, including the coordination and management of PALS activity for the relevant divisions, and supporting governance processes across a wide range of services.
You’ll be part of the MSE Hospital and Clinical Divisions Governance Team, working closely with clinicians, managers and administrative colleagues. Effective communication—written, verbal and digital—will be central to your success as you collaborate across multi‑disciplinary teams.
We’re looking for a proactive team player who can deliver efficient, reliable administrative support while helping the department maintain the smooth, seamless delivery of its services. Provide flexible support to the Senior Nurses, medical staffing, operational leads, and the Governance Facilitators and Coordinators.
Accurately produce reports to support departments activities as directed by the team within agreed timescales
Updating Datix when PALS are closed and chasing relevant staff to close them timely.
Support the team in maintaining training records
To undertake small scale projects or tasks under the direction of the Governance Coordinators.
Attend meetings and, when required, record minutes.
Prioritise own workload and organise own work to meet these priorities and reduce risks to quality.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
To be responsible for arranging meetings and acting as liaison point for all parties concerned, this to include arranging venues and necessary IT equipment/support.
To co-ordinate the preparation and production of meeting paperwork, collating all necessary information and arranging for its distribution.
Work competently within current procedures for own working practices and, where appropriate, contribute to the development and implementation of changes to improve own working practices/service, policies, procedures and guidelines
