Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Carer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to become our Continuity of Care Lead, combining hands-on care with participation in our on-call rota to ensure our residents continue to receive care from familiar faces.
At The Chestnuts, we are proud that we do not use agency staff. Instead, our on-call team provide shift cover when required, meaning our residents are always cared for by people they know and trust.
Duties:
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.
- Lead shifts and act as a role model for the care team.
- Administer medication safely and accurately.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency shift cover when required.
- Follow and promote person-centred care plans.
- Support residents with mobility, nutrition and daily living activities.
- Keep accurate care records.
- Help maintain a safe, caring and welcoming environment.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in the care sector.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota.
- A full UK driving licence (unless you live in the village).
