Aims of the post:
The HLTA (Core Subjects) will provide high-level support in the delivery of English, Maths, and other core curriculum areas for learners aged 11 – 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The post-holder will take a leading role in delivering targeted interventions, small group teaching, and structured learning sessions to support learners in closing gaps in attainment and making sustained progress.
The role will combine academic support with strong pastoral awareness, using a nurturing and trauma-informed approach to ensure learners are engaged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.
