We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
The Role
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our care home remains clean, hygienic, and comfortable. You will work as part of a supportive team, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control while contributing to the wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning duties in residents' rooms, communal areas, offices, and other areas of the home.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as required.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, sanitise, and maintain all designated areas to a high standard.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing residents' clothing and linens.
- Safely dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures and infection control standards.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and housekeeping stock.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, incidents, and faulty equipment promptly.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
- Follow all health and safety, infection control, and company policies and procedures.
- Attend training, staff meetings, supervision sessions, and appraisal meetings as required.
