Nathan & Co Bradford are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Retail Assistant (Jewellery) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational success.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting jewellery pieces by offering informed guidance on style, suitability, and value in line with company procedures.
- Complete sales transactions and manage both cash and card payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain precise records of all jewellery transactions.
- Ensure all jewellery displays are clean, secure, and attractively presented, with stock rotated and replenished as needed.
- Handle customer enquiries in‑store and over the phone with professionalism and courtesy.
- Monitor and manage jewellery stock, including logging new items, preparing them for display, and ensuring accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high store standards.
- Ensure the shop is organised and presentable at all times.
- Support the management with other tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Basic maths skills.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Experience in upselling products or services is desirable.
- Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage inventory effectively.
- Previous experience in retail jewellery sales is mandatory.
