Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and vehicles, contributing to overall productivity and safety within the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques, providing effective solutions.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in mechanical processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or machinery sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanics or automotive technology are advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
