Jobs Growth Wales + is a programme for young people aged 16-19 which offers the opportunity for young people to gain the skills, experience and support needed to access further training and education, an apprenticeship or employment.
This programme offers two strands:
Engagement Strand – The engagement strand offers the opportunity to attend centre up to 4 days per week providing an opportunity to build skills, motivation and confidence whilst allowing you the opportunity to explore career options.
Advancement Strand – For those individuals with a specific career in mind this offers you work experience whilst working towards a route specific qualification. You will be required to attend a work placement for 5 days per week gaining recognised qualifications and experience in your chosen career pathway.
What can we offer:
- Training and Skills Development – Including Vocational skills, Employability Skills, Essential Skills (Maths & English) and route specific qualifications (For Example CSCS, Hospitality etc).
- Work Placements – Gain real life work experience and exposure to real working environments.
- Training Allowance – Earn up to £60 per week.
- Travel Reimbursement – Reimbursement for all travel incurred during the programme.
- Daily Meal Allowance - £3.90 per day for each day you attend.
