Duties
- Make funding applications with other field users.
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community groups to promote garden use and foster partnerships for ongoing support
- Plan, organize, and oversee the planting, cultivation, and ongoing maintenance of forest garden spaces to ensure healthy growth and ecological balance
- Coordinate volunteer activities, including training sessions, workdays, and educational workshops to empower community members in garden stewardship
- Develop and implement educational programs that highlight sustainable gardening practices, native species, and biodiversity benefits
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations while promoting best practices in sustainable land management
Skills
- Demonstrated passion for environmental conservation, forestry, sustainable agriculture
- Funding experience
- Experience in garden planning, planting techniques, or ecological management preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and social media skills
- Prior experience working with volunteers or leading community projects is desirable
