Job Description:
This is a rare opportunity for the right person to join our experienced cutting team. They will be working in a fast paced cutting room on a wide variety of products, for the most part uniform headwear items, using several hand operated industrial cutting machines including a band knife. Batches can vary from one to several thousand in any one order.
Tasks will include:
· Selecting appropriate patterns and fabrics as specified
· Cutting singles for samples and try-outs
· Calculating and marking out patterns for bulk production, minimising fabric wastage.
· Laying up fabric for lamination and cutting, some matched
· Laminating fabric in-house
· Cutting fabric to very close tolerances
· Batching each product cut with identifying bundling paperwork
· Careful handling and storage of fabrics
· Completing relevant cutting and fabric records
· Some roll handling involved
Training will be available in this role
We are looking for someone with:
A minimum of 2 years fabric cutting experience in an industrial setting for bulk manufacture ideally with use of a band knife.
If you are willing to learn; have an eye for detail and accuracy; excellent communication skills, verbal and written; good numeracy skills; an ability to switch from one order to another quickly and efficiently and a good memory this could be just the job for you.

(£12.71 - £15.00 per hour dependent on experience)
