Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain gas appliances, pipelines, and plumbing systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete complex installations and repairs
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and parts used
- Assist with assembly of plumbing fixtures or gas appliances as needed for new installations or upgrades
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport tools, equipment, or materials between job sites efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with a strong mechanical background
- Proficiency in plumbing techniques, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of gas safety regulations, codes, and standards is essential
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and adjustments
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for commercial driving responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting issues
