About us
Foundry Project is our bar in Harrogate and True Dough is our hand made pizza side project, born out of doing events, brunches and pop-ups and it's now going weekly. We're looking for someone to help us make that happen: fresh dough, proper toppings, cooked fast, done well.
The role
You'll be running the pizza side of True Dough during our weekly service — Friday evenings and Saturday daytimes. This isn't a quiet prep job. You'll be working a live pass, often solo, keeping quality high while orders come in steadily. We want someone who takes pride in getting a pizza out quickly and getting it right.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepping dough, sauce and toppings ahead of service
- Running the pizza oven/station solo or as lead during service
- Keeping pace during busy periods without cutting corners
- Keeping your section clean, stocked and organised
- Flagging issues early; stock, kit, timing, rather than letting them become problems
- Having a real say in how the section runs day to day
What we're looking for
- Experience with pizza or fast-paced kitchen/food service work
- Someone who's quick but doesn't sacrifice quality for speed
- Comfortable working independently and making calls under pressure
- Reliable; this is a regular weekly commitment, not a one-off
- Takes ownership: treats the section like it's theirs, not just a shift to get through
You don't need years of fine-dining experience. You do need to care about the food you're putting out and be able to keep your head when it's busy.
Hours & pay
- Friday evenings + Saturday daytimes, weekly
- £14–15 per hour, depending on experience plus bonuses.
- Room to grow as True Dough grows, this is a founding role in a brand we're building up, not a fixed weekly shift with no future
