We are seeking reliable, caring and professional school minibus drivers to transport children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) safely to and from school.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in the community and by supporting vulnerable children and young people, providing safe, dependable, and consistent transport daily.
A dedicated passenger assistant will be onboard the vehicle at all times to support pupils during their journey, allowing the driver to focus on safe vehicle operation and road safety.
The role-
- Safely transport pupils between home and school
- Work alongside a passenger assistant to ensure safe, calm, and positive journey for all
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Follow designated routes and schedules while ensuring punctuality
- Build positive professional relationships with school staff, pupils and families
- Adhere to all safeguarding procedures, road traffic regulations, and company policies
What we are looking for-
- Full UK driving licence
- A safe and responsible approach to driving

- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Individuals that are happy to take their holidays during school holiday time, to avoid unnecessary disruptions to the passengers transport routine.
Reliability is essential for this role, as many of the children we transport thrive on routine, familiarity and consistency. Changes to transport staff can be unsettling for some pupils, so we are looking for applicants who are highly reliable and committed to maintaining regular attendance. Your dependability will play an important role in helping children feel safe, secure and confident during their daily journeys, which are an extension of their school day. How the passengers school journeys go, can have an massive impact on their school day and evening time, therefore providing a calm, safe and positive journey is key.
Desirable experience- (not essential)
- Previous minibus or larger vehicle driving
- experience working with children or young people with SEND

Licensing Requirements-
As our vehicles operate under a local authority private hire licence, successful candidates will need to undertake a licensing process to obtain this. We will guide you through this and book the necessary appointments for you, we also fully fund your licence. More information will be giving at the first meeting. This process can take 4/6 weeks app.
Pay: £15.40 per hour
