Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team, preferably with HiAb (Or similar) Crane Experience. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks to deliver building materials across various locations. Your enthusiasm for driving and delivering excellent customer service will ensure timely, efficient deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 flatbed trucks to transport building materials to designated sites
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring secure placement on the vehicle
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their deliveries and providing professional communication
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Follow all health and safety procedures during loading, transit, and unloading processes
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to management
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar vehicles
- Knowledge of safe loading practices for flatbed transportation
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading goods
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
