Vim & Vigour is one of Bathgate's most exciting independent restaurants, known for our Friday and Saturday tapas nights, Sunday fondue, and a calendar of unique dining events. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and outstanding service, and we're looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to become an essential part of our kitchen team.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role best suited to someone who already has experience working in a busy commercial kitchen. You'll play a vital part in keeping our kitchen running efficiently, supporting the chefs throughout service and maintaining the high standards we're known for.
Responsibilities
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic at all times
- Washing and storing crockery, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Supporting the chefs during busy service periods
- Completing cleaning schedules and deep cleaning tasks
- Managing waste disposal
- Following all food hygiene and health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a commercial kitchen (essential)
- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Brings plenty of energy and a positive attitude to every shift
- Knows their way around a professional kitchen
- Is reliable, hardworking and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
- Is available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, potentially Thursday shifts
