About Us:
Heol Chwarae Rôl - Role Play Lane is a busy not-for-profit community hub supporting children, families, carers and volunteers through a wide range of inclusive sessions, activities and community projects.
We are looking for a creative, proactive and caring individual to join our growing team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, so we are looking for somebody adaptable, organised and confident using their initiative.
There may also be opportunities for additional hours in the future as projects and funding develop.
The Role:
The successful applicant will help support the day-to-day running of our community hub and assist with activities, volunteers, families and social media content.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting and interacting with customers, children and families
- Assisting with the running of sessions, classes and activities
- Creating adverts, social media content and scheduling posts
- Supporting volunteers to gain confidence and develop skills
- Helping maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Assisting with community projects and events
- General organisational and admin support where needed
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience working with customers, children, families or community groups
- Good social media and digital communication skills
- Creative, proactive and able to work independently
- Organised and able to adapt quickly within a varied role
- Willingness to work most weekends
Desirable Experience:
Experience or knowledge in any of the following would be an advantage:
- ALN / neurodiversity awareness
- Supporting carers or families
- Volunteer coordination or mentoring
- Outdoor learning or nature-based activities
- Creativity, crafts or activity planning
- Community or third-sector work
