Assistant Manager – The Woodman at Clent

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join the team at The Woodman at Clent. Set in a newly reimagined space with a focus on fresh food, premium sharing steaks, expertly crafted drinks, and outstanding service, this is an exciting opportunity to help build something special from the ground up.
About the Role:
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and Deputy manager to deliver smooth day-to-day operations, lead the front-of-house team, and maintain the highest standards of service. You'll be hands-on, guest-focused, and motivated to create memorable experiences for every customer. You'll also help manage staff development, stock control, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager and Deputy manager in overseeing all restaurant and bar operations
- Lead and inspire the front-of-house team
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences with a warm and professional approach
- Assist with team development
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety, and health & safety regulation
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues confidently and quickly
About You:
- Previous experience as Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor in a quality restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality
- High standards in service, presentation, and attention to detail
- Calm under pressure with great problem-solving abilities
- Confident with cash handling
- A team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
