We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to support a high-profile account that operates much like its own business unit, partnering closely with senior stakeholders from Key Account Portfolio Director level down.
Job Description
We are looking for a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, providing expert guidance on people practices that build strong team relationships, drive engagement and support high performance.
This role is integral to managing organisational change, restructures and the effective application of P&C policies and procedures, ensuring the business and its people thrive together.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including the Key Account Portfolio Director and direct reports.
- Drive business performance through people and culture strategies that enhance engagement, productivity and retention.
- Partner with a wide range of stakeholders, supporting social value, environmental objectives, and health & safety priorities.
- Oversee day-to-day employee relations activity across Hard and Soft FM operations, including absence management, disciplinaries and general ER matters.
- Lead organisational design, restructuring and workforce planning initiatives aligned to changing business needs.
- Provide guidance on complex and escalated cases, including policy interpretation, ER case management, TUPE and union engagement.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce employment, compliance and operational risks.
- Develop and embed P&C solutions that support organisational effectiveness, business growth and a high-performance culture.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience in a People & Culture or HR Generalist role, with strong commercial awareness and sound judgement.
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or working towards.
- Strong coaching capability, with experience developing managers and driving engagement.
- Expert knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.
- Experience leading organisational change, including restructures and TUPE transfers.
- Experience working within a unionised environment.
- Strong understanding of people policies and best-practice frameworks.
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable working with data, including strong Excel skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
