Clean Ears Direct provides professional, clinic-based ear wax removal services. We specialise in safe, comfortable ear care using microsuction, delivered by qualified practitioners in a dedicated clinical setting.
Role Overview
We're opening our new Hammersmith clinic and are looking for a qualified Microsuction Ear Care Practitioner to run appointments on a zero-hours basis. As the clinic is newly launched, we're starting with one day per week (9:00–5:00), with hours expected to grow as the client base builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out ear examinations and clinical assessments
- Perform microsuction ear wax removal (and irrigation where appropriate)
- Maintain accurate clinical notes
- Follow infection control and safeguarding protocols
- Communicate clearly and reassuringly with patients
- Use PPE and maintain high professional standards
- Manage clinic bookings for the day and represent the Clean Ears Direct brand in person
Essential Requirements
✔ Minimum 1 year recent UK-based experience in microsuction ear wax removal
✔ UK-based Microsuction qualification (certificate required)
✔ Eligible to work in the UK
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
✔ Confident working independently in a clinic setting
✔ Professional, calm, and patient manner
Desirable
⭐ Certified Audiologist
⭐ Experience with a private/self-pay patient clinic (rather than NHS/care home)
Contract & Working Hours
- Zero-hours contract
- Currently 1 day per week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hammersmith clinic)
- Hours likely to increase as the clinic grows
