Orthodontic Therapist – Join an Award-Winning Orthodontic Team
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Therapist to join our award-winning dental practice and support the large volume of orthodontic cases we provide.
Our practice is one of the largest providers of clear aligner treatment, delivering substantially more aligner cases than most providers in the Midlands and one of the largest in the UK and Europe. Alongside this, we also provide fixed orthodontic treatment delivered by a Specialist Orthodontist, meaning we treat patients across the full spectrum - from mild alignment cases through to complex orthodontic treatment.
Due to continued growth and success in our orthodontic services, we are looking for an Orthodontic Therapist with experience in both aligner and fixed appliance therapy who is keen to develop their skills while working within a supportive and highly experienced clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, high-end practice environment, working alongside an ambitious team committed to maintaining the highest clinical standards.
Our practice has won multiple awards including Best Treatment of Nervous Patients, Best Practice, Best Team, and Best Aesthetic Practice Design - something you will immediately appreciate when you see the stunning interior of the clinic (complete with a grand piano!).
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, clinically confident, and a strong team player, who can help support our expanding orthodontic caseload while delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Provide orthodontic treatment under prescription from the dentist or Specialist Orthodontist within the scope of an Orthodontic Therapist.
- Deliver and manage clear aligner treatments, including fitting attachments, aligner reviews, and patient guidance.
- Assist with and manage aspects of fixed orthodontic appliance treatment, including adjustments, wire changes, and patient monitoring where prescribed.
- Take orthodontic records including digital scans, photographs, and radiographs where required.
- Monitor treatment progress and communicate updates with the supervising clinician.
- Educate and support patients throughout their orthodontic journey to ensure excellent compliance and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with practice and regulatory requirements.
- Support the wider orthodontic team in delivering efficient and high-quality patient care.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Orthodontic Therapist with current GDC registration.
- Experience with clear aligner systems and fixed orthodontic appliances.
- Confident using digital scanners and orthodontic imaging systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail in clinical documentation.
- A proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-quality clinical environment.
- Keen to continue learning and developing within orthodontics.
Additional qualifications such as radiography are welcomed
