We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Optical Recaller to join our team and develop valuable customer service and administration skills within the optical industry.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Optical Recall Assistant, you will play an important role in helping patients stay up to date with their eye care. You will contact patients who are due or overdue for their eye examinations, assist with booking appointments, and help maintain accurate patient records. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in healthcare administration or optical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact patients by telephone, SMS, and email regarding due or overdue eye examinations.
- Recall patients for pending tests and follow-up appointments.
- Book, rebook, and confirm appointments efficiently.
- Contact patients regarding missed appointments and arrange new bookings.
- Update patient records accurately using the practice management system.
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist with general enquiries.
- Promote additional services offered by the practice where appropriate.
- Ensure patient information is handled confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements.
- Support the reception and administration team with general office duties.
- Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication.
