Position: Waiting Staff (Saturday Shift) Location: Sweet Mandarin Shift: Saturdays (Part-Time 5-9pm)
Role Overview Sweet Mandarin is looking for an energetic, reliable individual to join our front-of-house team every Saturday. You will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring smooth service during our busy weekend operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Order Taking: Greet guests warmly, present menus, take accurate food and drink orders, and enter them into the system efficiently.
- Food & Beverage Service: Promptly serve dishes and drinks to tables with care, checking in on guests to ensure a great dining experience.
- Table Maintenance: Clear dirty plates, glasses, and cutlery promptly between courses and after guests depart. Reset tables swiftly for incoming diners.
- Cleanliness & Upkeep: Sweep and tidy the dining area regularly to keep the floor spotless and welcoming throughout the shift.
- Back-of-House Support: Assist with washing up dishes, glassware, and cutlery to ensure a steady supply of clean equipment for service.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail regarding food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability for Saturday shifts.
- Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but a great work ethic and willingness to learn are most important.
