To support the Director of Quality/Head of Assurance in the planning, management and delivery of a portfolio of Quality projects designed to support delivery of the highest quality health and care services in NHS Lanarkshire through monitoring and using performance, quality and safety data to identify issues that need to be addressed and taking follow up action to improve the quality of the care and services delivered.

Support the implementation of the Lanarkshire Quality Approach through the promotion and application of the approach across the organisation.

Managing organisational programmes of quality assurance activity to ensure that all aspects are effectively organised and that programmes are delivered on time and outputs are of a high quality including, on an on-going basis, monitoring the progress of projects and assigned resources and implementing changes to plans and allocation of resources as necessary.

Developing, contributing to and maintaining project and programme risk registers identifying and documenting appropriate mitigations and actively managing risks.

Managing and participating in scoping and consultation processes involving the identification of key quality indicators, and the appropriate engagement of key stakeholders, to inform the development of robust, measurable outputs and supporting measurement frameworks.

Educated to MSc level or equivalent training in improvement science or extensive practical experience of supporting implementation of Quality Assurance / Improvement programmes of work.

Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects

Have undertaken a management role in the NHS or equivalent health sector

Experience of managing teams and evidence of formal management training

Have broad experience and understanding of the operations of the NHS
