Café Manager – Yellowave Hove

At Yellowave, we're much more than a café. We're a vibrant beach sports venue where great coffee, fresh healthy food, sport and community come together. Our aim is simple: we want everyone to leave feeling better than when they arrived.
We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Café Manager to lead our café team while helping oversee the wider venue. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading people, delivering outstanding customer service and thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
The Role
You'll lead the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring consistently excellent coffee, fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere from morning through to evening.
Alongside the café you'll also support the wider operation of the venue, including customer bookings, sports programmes, events, kids or family parties and evening pizza, helping ensure every customer has a fantastic experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the café team.
- Deliver excellent coffee, healthy food and outstanding customer service.
- Manage stock, ordering, rotas and food safety.
- Support venue bookings, events and coaching programmes.
- Maintain high standards across the café and venue.
- Help develop new ideas to grow the business and enhance the customer experience.
About You
You'll be positive, organised and enjoy leading by example. You'll have hospitality management experience, be passionate about customer service and love working as part of a friendly, energetic team.
Barista experience is desirable, and an interest in sport, health and community would be a real bonus.
Our current Cafe Manager is relocating to another area but we have them available for a few more weeks so we have a great opportunity to offer the successful applicant a great hand over period along with a planned training schedule.

Pay: £28,080.00-£30,000.00 per year
