About the Role:
We're seeking a motivated Optical Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to start or develop your career in optics. You'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our busy practices. Initial training will be provided, and for ambitious individuals, we offer genuine career progression opportunities, including a management training scheme.
Responsibilities:
· Assisting patients with frame selection and fitting.
· Taking measurements and fitting glasses.
· Advising on lens types and contact lenses.
· Performing pre-screening tests.
· Maintaining accurate patient records.
· Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
· Delivering exceptional customer service.
About You:

Essential Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience in customer service or retail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.

· Willingness to learn and develop your skills.
· Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, including 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day) and cover other local branches when required.

· Previous experience in optics.

Location & Hours:
Based initially between our Bradford, Mayo Avenue and Bradford, Thornbury branches. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, including 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day. Flexibility to cover other local branches is required.
