We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swim Teacher to join our aquatics team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging swimming lessons to children following our curriculum, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about teaching children to swim in a safe but fun environment.
Full tranining will be given on our programme. You will be supported by our head of Aquatics and her mentor team.
The hours this role will cover are Mondays and Thursdays 16:30 - 18:00 at our Winsley pool with potential to increase.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to the skill levels of participants, from beginners to those progressing towards advanced techniques.
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers by adhering to strict health and safety protocols at all times.
- Provide clear instruction and constructive feedback to help learners improve their swimming techniques.
- Organise and supervise practical activities, ensuring all equipment is used safely and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress and attendance.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages confidence and enjoyment in swimming.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan programmes that meet the needs of diverse groups.
Skills
- Hold the Swim England Level 2 teaching certificate, with a strong understanding of swimming techniques and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging learners of all ages and abilities.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and adapt to individual learning styles.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and motivating approach to instruction.
- Ability to work well as part of a team within a dynamic aquatic environment.
Pay: £19.50-£22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
