Overview
We are seeking a highly versatile and proactive Multi Skilled Mechanically Biased Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and equipment through a combination of mechanical expertise and electrical knowledge. Your energetic approach and leadership skills will drive maintenance excellence, troubleshoot complex issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, electrical equipment, and automated machinery to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults efficiently using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and fabrications as needed to support equipment repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts to accurately diagnose issues.
- Knowledge of Control Systems for troubleshooting and minor adjustments to optimise machine performance.
- Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed to high standards.
- Lead small teams or contractors during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
- Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to internal requests for equipment assistance or troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance with a strong bias towards mechanical systems; electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems is essential for troubleshooting complex automation issues.
- Mechanical knowledge covering pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and other industrial machinery components.
- Experience with maintenance planning, execution, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and support customer service initiatives.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while working independently or as part of a team.

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
