Purpose of the Role
To provide friendly, efficient, and professional bar service while creating a welcoming environment for customers. The Casual Bar Person is responsible for preparing and serving drinks, handling payments, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the wider team to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with licensing and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Verify the age of customers and ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, including workstations, equipment, and customer areas.
- Restock beverages, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies as required.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Collect and wash glassware and assist with general cleaning duties.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Report customer concerns, incidents, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as directed.
- Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

Working Conditions
