About the Role
Aurum Haven Maintenance Services Ltd., part of the Handog Holdings group, is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to support the upkeep and maintenance of care homes and supported living properties.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll help ensure properties remain safe, compliant, well-presented, and fully operational for the people who live in them. You’ll work across multiple sites, carrying out day-to-day repairs, responding to maintenance issues, and supporting the wider operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work including joinery, painting, patching, and tiling
- Complete basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and unblocking pipes
- Install and replace fixtures, fittings, appliances, and white goods
- Maintain outdoor areas including fencing, gates, and general property upkeep
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues across multiple properties
- Identify and escalate specialist or complex repairs where necessary
- Keep accurate records of completed works and maintenance tasks
- Manage workload effectively and travel independently between sites
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role
- Strong practical skills with the ability to work independently
- Reliable, proactive, and organised approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working within occupied care and supported living environments
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within care homes, healthcare, or supported living settings
- Basic understanding of health & safety procedures
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills
