Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Band 7 Echocardiographer to join a busy cardiac diagnostics team in Inverness on a 16-week locum contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a BSE Accredited Echocardiographer to utilise their advanced echocardiography skills within a supportive clinical environment. You will be responsible for independently performing and reporting high-quality echocardiograms, contributing to the accurate diagnosis and ongoing management of patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to a high clinical standard.
- Independently analyse, interpret, and report echocardiographic findings.
- Produce accurate and timely diagnostic reports to support patient care.
- Work closely with cardiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality cardiac diagnostics.
- Ensure all examinations are performed in line with BSE standards, departmental protocols, and professional guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment while adhering to infection prevention and quality assurance procedures.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care throughout each examination.
Applicant Requirements
- BSE Accreditation (British Society of Echocardiography) is essential.
- Previous experience working as a Band 7 Echocardiographer, Cardiac Physiologist, or equivalent.
- Competent in independently performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Experience using GE ultrasound systems and GE reporting stations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- HCPC registration (where applicable) or relevant professional registration.
