Green Scenery is a well-established grounds maintenance company, providing high-quality grounds maintenance, arboriculture and landscaping services to a growing portfolio of commercial and residential clients. As we continue to grow, we're building out our office team to support the business with robust financial administration and reporting.
The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You'll work closely with the Director, Office Manager and Operations Manager, helping to keep our finances accurate, our records up to date, and our contracts on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices, and matching to purchase orders/delivery notes
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes, liaising with external accountants where required
- Maintaining accurate financial records within our accounting software
- Tracking contract values, renewals, and invoicing schedules against our contract tracker
- Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, and basic financial reporting
- Supporting the office team with general financial administration as needed
About You
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounts, or finance assistant role
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Confident with Excel, including formulas and basic reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
- Experience in a trades, contracting, or field-services business is a plus, but not required
