THE ROLE
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the company through proactive sales and relationship building activities.
This is a self-driven role suited to someone who is motivated, commercially minded and confident in building relationships with prospective clients. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging with businesses, generating qualified leads and helping convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
The role requires a proactive and professional individual who is comfortable networking, prospecting and creating opportunities through a variety of channels including outbound activity, referrals, events, LinkedIn and strategic relationship building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation activities
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and key business contacts
- Arrange and attend meetings with prospective clients
- Maintain consistent sales activity including calls, emails, networking and LinkedIn outreach
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and business events where required
- Keep CRM systems updated accurately with activity, opportunities and communications
- Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Support the achievement of company growth and sales targets
- Continually look for ways to improve lead generation and business development activity
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED
- Experience working in an MSP or B2B technology sales is preferred
- Previous experience in a business development, sales or account management role
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Confident speaking with business owners, directors and decision makers
- Self-motivated with a proactive and driven approach to work
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing personal activity levels
- Experience using CRM systems is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel where required
- A positive attitude with a strong desire to succeed and contribute to business growth
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
