Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving tasks. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse environment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, along with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries or containers
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation and maintain safety standards
- Supporting general warehouse duties, including moving materials within the facility and maintaining cleanliness
Skills
- Proven experience in warehousing or logistics environments is highly desirable
- Competence in operating forklift trucks and familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock movements or loading operations
- Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations
