The Role
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the team at Bourton Hall.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking to take the next step in their career, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering high-quality food for weddings and events in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring every dish meets our standards, contributing to a seamless and memorable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
- Assist with food preparation, production, and presentation to a high standard
- Help deliver exceptional food service during weddings and events
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are consistently maintained
- Supervise and support junior kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider venue team to ensure a smooth service
- Participate in training and development to further build your culinary skills
About You
- Experience in a chef or senior kitchen role within hospitality or events
- Confident in food preparation and kitchen operations
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- A positive team player with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and guest experiences
- Previous experience in events, weddings, or high-volume service is an advantage
