Job Title: Front of House Assistant @ Mary & Me
Location: Near Blackfriars station
FT Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 3.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
PT Hours: Monday to Friday, 11.30am - 3.30pm (20 hours per week)
Availability: Must be available for all 5 shifts ( more hours available if needed )

Role Overview:
As a Front of House Assistant, you will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the smooth day-to-day operations of our salad and focaccia bar. You will take customer orders, prepare food in front of them, and ensure the space is clean, organized, and inviting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, answering any customer queries about the menu.
- Food Preparation:
- Assemble salads and prepare basic food items (e.g., sandwiches, focaccia) in front of customers following our standards for quality and presentation.
- General Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including counters, tables, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies and ingredients throughout the shift.
- Operate the till and handle payments (cash and card).
- Health & Safety:
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in monitoring food stock levels and inform the team when items need replenishing.
Requirements:
- Must be available for all shifts:
- Previous experience in a similar customer-facing or food preparation role is desirable but not essential (full training will be provided).
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and confident in interacting with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle busy periods effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to food preparation and hygiene.
- Team player with a can-do attitude and willingness to assist in all areas as needed.
